Price-Worthy Gem

Too small. Should have checked the size better

A gem of a laptop that's worth the price.

This is a perfect computer for those on a budget. It works awesome, and I love it! As a previous Apple customer, I find it just as good as an expensive laptop, if not better.

Functional but with some caveats

I bought the 16gb RAM, 1 TB storage model. Mine came with a barrel plug charger, some of the reviews I'm reading are for ones that came with Type-C charging.

First with the pros. It's pretty much exactly what I needed in a laptop. It's light. It is well built, it feels very well made and solid. It's quiet and doesn't get too hot. The processor is pretty decent, that's why I bought this particular laptop actually. It's very responsive and not laggy at all.

Now the cons. This thing earns its price tag. It has some decent internals but man did they ever cheap out in other areas. The web cam is pure junk, the one I bought on walmart for $12 like five years ago looks better than the web cam on this laptop. The speakers are terrible, tiny trash. Luckily this thing has a headphone jack. The biggest con about this laptop though is the display. It's a freakin' TN panel! The colors are very washed out and the viewing angles are poor. When I'm typing on this computer at my desk, I find myself hunching over and getting very close to the screen because it's hard to make out. I can never seem to adjust it right, I need to really get in there to see it. Looking at the screen for too long will give me a headache. Luckily, this laptop has an HDMI port on the side, so I would recommend that anyone who buys this should invest in a monitor and a laptop dock for their home use. The display is just good enough for me to use when I'm out and about or sitting in class.

I guess that some versions of this laptop have IPS panels. Unfortunately, walmart doesn't bother telling you that information. Therefore my second recommendation is to just buy this off of Lenovo's website or some other website that provides that information, not walmart.
