Acer Aspire 3 Laptop, 15.6" FHD Display, AMD Ryzen 5 7520U, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD, AMD Radeon Graphics, Windows 11 Home

I've had this laptop for a little over a year, and now I'm facing a frustrating black screen problem when starting it up. While I typically buy Lenovo laptops, I decided to give this one a try due to a sale when I purchased it. However, after some research, it turns out that this black screen issue is quite common with the Aspire 3 series. The causes range from faulty hardware to an oddly placed button on the keyboard that can turn off the screen (though its usefulness escapes me).

This laptop appears to be working well. However, I'm not particularly fond of Windows 11, as it seems to give Microsoft more control. You need to be cautious to keep their hands out of everything. It's also a bit confusing since they moved almost everything, including the Windows button and settings. I had to turn to YouTube to find out how to access everything just to get started.

I snagged this laptop at a fantastic price on Prime Day and have been impressed with Acer's growth as a reputable PC brand. It performs well for standard tasks like internet browsing and content streaming and has decent gaming capabilities. It's surprisingly fast and comes in a good size (15.6"). However, I have one complaint that's not specific to Acer: those ugly stickers companies put on laptops. This one had a pesky '1080P' sticker that left sticky residue and was challenging to remove.

I purchased this for my retired husband after his old laptop died. He primarily uses it for email, web browsing, and solitaire, and it's perfect for his needs. It seems fast and starts up quickly, with ample memory. It's exactly what I was looking for at a great price.

This is my third Acer purchase in the last two years. I bought one for our trips to Florida, one for my husband, and a new one for home. I appreciate the quality you get for the price. Thank you, Acer.
