Budget Laptop with High Configuration Options

Love the design and the built. Lightweight laptop with a good screen. Chose the 2.5 k screen and quite happy with the choice. Backlit keyboard, but though it's 16inch there is no numpad as the have put the speakers on the sides.

A budget laptop with high configuration options.

I appreciate the laptop's lightweight design, backlit keyboard, and near-borderless display, and the purchasing experience with Dell was smooth and easy.

A great value

This laptop computer is pretty much as advertised, and I am glad to have it. The screen is sharp and readable in 2240 x 1400 pixels mode. This model does NOT have a touch screen, so if that's important to you, you need to look at other laptops that sport that feature. The system so far is quick to respond to requests and has sufficient RAM and storage space.

One nice feature missing from all the other laptops I’ve owned or used is an automatic power up whenever the computer case is opened. There is also a power button in case you need it.

Beside Windows 11 Pro, this machine comes with significant value added: a year subscription to Microsoft Office 365 (normally $69.99/year) and also a two-year subscription to McAfee LiveSafe security suite (normally $129.99/year).

Most people who use laptops probably don’t mind that this machine, like most laptops now, does not have an ethernet port. However, WiFi seems to be performing well in its absence. I may not be the typical user, but I prefer the option to connect by ethernet.

I work almost exclusively at a desk with the power supply connected, so I have not tested the battery life of this Dell. My only real complaint is that, owing to the 14” display size, the keyboard is correspondingly smaller than I like. If I were to do much typing, I’d probably plug in an external keyboard. If your hands are smaller than mine are, this won't be much of an issue for you.

As has been mentioned in other reviews, this is not a gamer’s dream machine. It’s for normal office and business use. Its compact size makes it good for the road.
